Most will know this place because of its patio in the centre of the café zone between the Hotel Dubrovnik and Flower Square – and rightfully so. It is a highfalutin’ affair with linen tablecloths surrounded by potted plants and attentive waiters. The interior has a similarly chic atmosphere but is less accepting of the elements: parquet floors, high ceilings, expensive crown moulding and sleek wooden chairs are spread across four rooms with exposed brick, oil paintings and, sadly, a fake fireplace display where a cosy wintertime fire should be. The menu keeps to a well-to-do, Italian theme with loads of poetic licence: tenderloin with rocket, salmon steak, veal with Mediterranean herbs, gnocchi with pesto and prawns, and a bevy of pastas and even high-end pizzas to choose from.
